Your social media profile is a mini landing page.
It should grab attention and drive a specific action.
You can do this by optimizing:
Your profile pic
Your banner
Your name
Your bio
Your link
Make sure these things work in unison…
So that your profile does two things:
1. Presents your identity
→ your colour, fonts, style, and personality
2. Communicates your value
→ who you help, how you help them, and why they should follow you
Want some real examples?
I got you…
Below are 3 expert social media profiles from people I follow.
I’ve included notes for each one about what makes them effective in driving leads and follows.
(…and notice how you can customize the location field on Twitter)
Let’s take a peek…

Even if you’re just starting out…
Don’t worry about getting everything perfect!
It’s better to start now with what you have, and iterate over time.
Since starting this newsletter, I’ve made lots of tweaks to my profile…
Making it better as I became clearer about the value I offer, and as I figure out the design style I like best.
Remember…
This is a process, not a one-shot deal.
And if you need to get yourself a hot new banner or an engaging bio… just hit that reply button and let me know.
