AI is changing the game.

The creator economy is exploding.

There's never been a better time to invest in yourself.

I want to tell you about 7 areas to focus on for building a powerful personal brand.

…to future-proof your Self.

  • Expand your reach

  • Build trust and loyalty

  • Add to your credibility

  • Promote genuine connections

  • Give you leverage to do what you want

  • Stand out in a crowded digital landscape

For each point below I give you the explanation, the actions, and one example.

I suggest you bookmark the shit out of this one…

🔸 Purpose

This is why you get up in the morning.

It’s why you keep doing what you’re doing.

The reason you tough through the distractions and computer problems.

ACTIONS:

  • Get clear on what you value.

    • What do you stand for?

    • What does success look like for you?

    • What behaviours will you not tolerate?

  • Reflect on your “why”.

    • What’s the change you wish to make in this world… and in yourself?

James Clear, author of Atomic Habits, has a clear purpose: help people build better habits to improve their lives and achieve their goals.

🔸 People

This is the people you serve…

The people you learn from…

And the people you collaborate with.

ACTIONS:

  • Figure out who you really want to help.

    • Who is your ideal client? Hint: Probably yourself from 2–5 years ago.

  • Build genuine relationships with others.

    • Provide value first and avoid empty networking.

  • Collaborate, exchange ideas, and support one another.

🔸 Positioning

This is your most valuable seat at the table.

It’s the way you stand apart from everyone else.

It’s why people remember you and choose you over the others.

ACTIONS:

  • Figure out what makes your different, remarkable, and memorable.

  • Develop your unique value proposition (i.e. the promise to your audience/clients).

    • Dig deep to uncover the emotional benefit you provide.

    • What can you say that nobody else can?

It’s your swagger, your silly quirks, and the way you add humour.

ACTIONS:

🔸 Presence

This is how you show yourself to the world.

It’s your identity, your story, your messaging, the channels you use…

And everything else you do to market yourself.

ACTIONS:

  • Choose a platform to suit your comfort, style, and audience (I used to do Instagram, but prefer Twitter for the quality connections and conversations).

  • Engage with your audience and other creators’ audiences.

  • Develop your voice and personal style through writing, design, and method of delivery.

🔸 Product

This is your valuable offering to the world.

It’s your services, your guides, your coaching, and your courses.

ACTIONS:

  • Make sure your products align with your purpose and positioning.

  • Offer clear value that solves your clients’ urgent pain points.

  • Remember to overdeliver and always provide top quality.
